The Gaelhawks are Working Hard in Week 5!
The Gaelhawks are halfway through the build season and have been working tirelessly on this year’s robot! The awards, digital marketing, and scouting committees have all been hard at work and have made significant progress throughout this past week.
The build team has been testing out the climber and tweaking the robot based on their observations. They are also continuing to put together the competition robot and are finishing up the gatherer, which collects the cargo balls. They work closely with the programming team, who have been working diligently on the trajectory and autonomous classes. They are testing their shooter program and refining it so the program is perfect.
The awards committee submitted the applications for our Woodie Flowers and Dean’s List nominees after working hard on writing and editing the essays for each candidate. They are now working with the outreach committee to plan Day During Build, which is a day where incoming freshmen come to see what a typical work session looks like for Team 230. The awards team is also beginning to work on the team’s business plan, which will be presented at competitions.
The digital marketing team has been working on filming and editing videos to display the progress that the Gaelhawks have made so far. They have also been updating Team 230’s social media accounts and website. The committee has finished the logo design for this year’s team T-shirt.
The scouting committee has been learning the ropes of the Tableau program and analyzing data using the software. They have tested the tablets and are working to update them so they are ready to use for competition.
As you can see, the Gaelhawks have made tremendous advancements towards being ready for competition. Keep up with Team 230 on our social media channels and view our mid-season progress video on our YouTube channel!
