Week Six Review
Only a few days left until our robot must be sealed away until our first competition. Half of our team is currently working to finish the competition robot, while the other half is away at the Suffield Shakedown with the practice robot.
Our programming team loaded the practice robot with its code yesterday and is at the Suffield Shakedown to monitor the robot’s performance.
Both Dean’s List Award assays and the Entrepreneurship Award essays were submitted last Wednesday. The awards team is now working on a video and presentation for the Chairman’s Award.
Our practice robot has been completed, and our mechanical subcommittee is working on finishing the competition robot before Tuesday.
Our Spirit team is putting the final touches on the team’s banner for the competitions.
All members who are interested in being part of the drive team were given a test earlier this week to assess their knowledge of the rules and expectations outlined in the FIRST Steamworks manual. Today, our drive team coach is monitoring their skills in action in Suffield in order to determine an official drive team lineup.
