The Gaelhawks are hard at work! After this season’s exciting kickoff, we have been planning and strategizing to prepare for the Crescendo challenge. Here’s what our subcommittees have been up to!
Our programming team is in full swing, working on getting their technology up and running for the 2024 season. They are also developing strategies for the robot, formulating plans and possible approaches to the game.
Exciting developments are underway within the build committee as they dive into the design and prototyping phase of the shooter. Throughout this process, they are actively testing various iterations to fine-tune its performance. Additionally, they are working with vortex motors and creating CAD models of pickup and frame designs. Our Crescendo practice field is coming along as well, as the materials have been ordered and will be assembled at our intermediate school.
Our scouting team is starting to create a rough draft of the form we will use to gather data at competitions. They have been getting back into Tableau to set up our data visualization software. On our data collection tablets, the committee is updating the FRC Krawler app to get them ready for the new year.
In digital marketing, the team is organizing photos, videos, and files from past years. They are capturing all aspects of our team to create a build season video. Our website has also been updated to reflect our new outreach endeavors and upcoming competitions with many more updates to come.
Last but not least, our awards committee has been working hard throughout this season and during the offseason. They are editing the draft of the FIRST Impact essay, chronicling our team’s outreach events and impact. Nominations were sent out for the Woodie Flowers and Dean’s List awards, and we are excited to recognize hard working students and mentors who dedicate so much of their time to our team.
Thank you all for your support!
