Week 7 & 8 Newsletter

Greetings and a warm welcome back to all the Gaelhawks supporters! 

We are thrilled to announce that our Build team has successfully assembled the robot this week, and it is ready to take on new challenges in the upcoming competitions. The team has been working tirelessly, ensuring that the robot is efficient and well-prepared for the task at hand.

In addition to this, our Digital Marketing team is hard at work, filming the video for our FIRST Impact submission. This team is also gearing up to launch the Robot Reveal video, which will be unveiled just before our first competition, the NE District Waterbury Event, which is just two weeks away.

Meanwhile, our Programming team is dedicatedly working on perfecting our auto-alignment through the new vision systems. They are also diligently debugging all motors and sensors to ensure that we are reading and sending the correct input and output values. Furthermore, the team has started working on our mechanism control systems, making sure that every component is running smoothly.

Our Scouting team has been working relentlessly, focusing on creating graphs for the tableau dashboard. On Saturday, the team ran a class, teaching the other team members how to be match and pit scouts. This will enable us to identify and analyze our opponents’ strengths and weaknesses accurately.

Finally, our Awards team is hard at work, practicing for the FIRST Impact and Business Plan presentations. They are also collaborating with the Digital Marketing team to create the FIRST Impact video, showcasing our team’s incredible achievements and the impact that we are making.
