Offseason Newsletter

Welcome back to another season of FRC! During the Waterbury District Event, our alliance was placed as finalists. At the WPI District Event, our alliance finished third. We were able to qualify for worlds at the New England District Championship, where we were the first pick of Alliance Seven. At The FRC World Championship, we competed in the Hopper Division along with teams from all over the world. It was an amazing experience! In addition, Team 230 was busy during the offseason.

• May: We attended the CT state championships, where we also helped with setting up and cleaning up the field. 
• June: We competed at the Where is Wolcott Invitational with our mentor team, the Tormentors. 
• September: We attended FLL kickoff at the Plumb Memorial Library with our four FLL teams, Vipers, TechnIQ, Resistors, and Braniacs. We also set up our robot at back to school night to show off our team to new students.
• October: We attended Shelton Day, where we set up our tent and demonstrated our 2016 robot, Talon XVII. We also participated in our town’s annual Trunk or Treat, which was much appreciated by all the costumed children. 
• November: We showed off our 2025 robot, Calypso, at the CT Manufacturing Careers Roadshow at the University of Bridgeport.
